Prayer Letter for the months of June & July 2026 - IEM

Our dear Prayer Partners,

Loving greetings from IEM in Jesus Christ's precious Name! We thank God for enabling us to begin the new training batch at the Outreach Training Institute (OTI) from 18 May 2026, with 23 candidates from IEM and one candidate from another Mission Organization. I spent time with all the candidates personally when I went to teach, listened about their family background, salvation experience, calling for God’s service and their church association. I was excited to hear their passion and the price that they paid to take a step of faith to serve God. There is a sense of joy in their face as they obeyed God’s call. Kindly pray that during the training period, spiritual growth, ministerial preparation, character formation, and skill development will take place effectively in the lives of the trainees. They come from 12 states in India. Praise God!

As I was rejoicing in the Lord for these precious lives, I was reminded by the following words as the need is more in our Nation, with opportunities to take the Gospel to transform the communities. “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”

Romans 10:14. Kindly pray for more workers and volunteers to promote the cause of Missions in our churches. Kindly pray for another 30 new candidates for the next course, which will start in March 2027.

New Testament Dedication: By the grace of God, the Puroik language New Testament was dedicated on 12 May 2026 in Arunachal Pradesh, and in the Asamiya Sadri language New Testament was dedicated on 14 May 2026 in Assam. We thank God for our church partners, mission partners such as the Bible Society of India, and IEM supporters who helped in the printing the Bible. Kindly pray that many people will receive, read, and apply God’s Word in their lives. Lord willing another nine New Testaments will be dedicated this year.

North East India Visit: The IEM leadership visited Church leaders and Theological Institutions in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Nagaland from 11–17 May 2026. The partnership discussions were meaningful and fruitful. Kindly pray for the follow-up efforts and strengthening of these partnerships.

Koya Mission Field Medical work, in Telangana: The IEM leaders, prayer partners and the Koya Church leaders and believers met on 29 and 30 May 2026. We had a time of thanksgiving, evaluation and planning for the medical ministry. We met the Koya Church leaders and planned for the development of the Field Ministry and property. During these two days we had Medical Camp at Morampalli Banjar and Lankalapalli Clinics. We had Doctors from local, SMH Ranipet and Kakinada. We could dedicate a new four-wheeler for the Medical Ministry in Koya. A groundbreaking Ceremony for a Multipurpose Hall was done. We could see a team work of God’s people for God’s purpose. We need a full-time residential Doctor for the Clinic. Kindly pray, promote and refer.

IEM National Convention 2026: The 61st IEM National Convention is scheduled from 13–15 November 2026 in Kohima, Nagaland, hosted by the Kohima Lotha Baptist Church. The IEM leadership met the Host Church Planning Committee on 16 May 2026. Kindly pray for all the preparations and arrangements for the Convention.

New Mission Field in Karnataka: In partnership with the CSI St John’s Church in Bangalore, we could inaugurate the new mission field next to Kolar at Mulbagal. We inaugurated the Transformation Centre on 9 May 2026. Rev Christopher Samuel, the church pastor dedicated the missionaries and the tailoring project in the presence of the church leadership team, a wonderful occasion.

Believers’ Children Joining Bible Colleges: Lord willing, 13 children from believers’ families will be joining various Bible Colleges from June 2026 for Theological Studies. Kindly pray for their adjustment, English language fluency, spiritual growth, and academic excellence. We require ₹30,000 for the support of each candidate. Kindly uphold this need in prayer.

Renovation of old OTI Buildings: The Outreach Training Institute buildings are now 38 years old. Thank you for your prayers and support for the maintenance and renovation work of these old structures. The renovation work has already begun. Kindly pray for the provision of ₹ 32 lakhs needed to complete the project.

Update on Church Buildings: By God’s grace, the worship shed at the Kolam Mission Field in Maharashtra was dedicated in May 2026. In the month of June, two more church buildings are scheduled for dedication. Kindly pray for the ongoing church construction works in 14 places and for the financial needs of four additional new churches and the land.

Kingdom Builders Movement: IEM is encouraging professionals to be witnesses for Christ in their workplaces through the Kingdom Builders Movement (KBM) initiative. A meeting was held in Hyderabad on 2 May 2026, and two coordinators were appointed to lead this ministry forward. We had another Kingdom Builders meeting on 29 May 2026 at the Koya Field in Kothagudem Area, Telangana.

Training for Tentmakers: The IEM and UESI had jointly organized a Cultural and Linguistic Training (CLT) at our Outreach Training Institute (OTI) from 10 June to 30 June 2026. We expect 25 participants who aspired to be tent makers. This programme is to give confidence to learn a new language, develop cross-cultural skills, and effective Gospel presentation abilities to the participants, to face the realities of the places of their work. We could renew our MoU with UESI in Kottayam on 14 April 2026. May God strengthen our partnership.

Need of Two Wheelers: By God’s grace, we could allot four new motor cycles for our workers. To reach more areas, we need two-wheeler motorcycles for another 45 people in IEM. Kindly pray for this need of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh) per motor cycle.
